| So... exam week has officially begun. My first final... not so impressive... but the world is still spinning. But I'm to a point where I simply want to be done. I escaped from life and went on a good long hike in the woods yesterday. Ahhh... pleasant little adventure that was... Soooo... This time next week, I will be home! It may be for only 10 days, but I plan to enjoy it immensely. After that I get 3 days in NC with a certain favorite friend that is finally returning from his year-long escapade in Israel. Pretty thrilled to see him again. After that, I'm heading straight to school for 10 weeks of Gospel Heralds adventures. We'll be out west, mainly in Utah, for six of those weeks. So, if you happen to find yourself out in the wild blue yonder, be sure to drop in for a concert! *wink* | | |
| Hi friends. This semester has been crazy. That pretty much sums up the last 4 months of my life.... perhaps my whole life... but either way, it is going to be done in 3 weeks! Isn't that crazy? But the last week or so the Lord has given me plenty of opportunities to enjoy some down time, even though school was sacrificed quite a bit. We had RA retreat this weekend... and can I just say that I have some of the coolest friends ever! Yeah, we had a wonderful time. Very relaxing I must say. Lots of laughs, too! I got on a horse for the first time in probably 4 years... made me want to gallop into the sunset just for kicks ;o) Anywayz, 32 days in counting and I'm in NC.... I'm exctied. Really, really excited. That's all for now, folks. | | |
| Okay... so, I like plans. I like goals... I like doing things well... I like working hard. You wouldn't think that that would be a problem... but I think somewhere along the course of this semester I forgot something that puts the rest of life in perspective... It's the point where in your heart you say, "Okay Lord... What do you want to do with me today?" In time and eternity, my plans are insignificant... ...unless I give the Lord the opportunity to interrupt and redirect ...so that His plans are accomplished. "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts" Isaiah 55:8-9 | | |
| So, 10 weeks from right now I will be in North Carolina at the airport waiting for Jamie to get off the plane. I'm slightly excited. (Okay, I lied... I'm pretty much going crazy trying to keep the stupid grin off my face...) I'll only get to spend three days with him before I leave for the summer for Gospel Heralds, but I'm just glad I get to see him. After 10 months in separate countries, three days will be a glorious thing *sigh* However, we decided that once we are back in the same country but working in separate ministries for the summer it will kind of be like being confined to a kitchen while fasting. *silly grin* Chorale tour was a wonderful use of my spring break! We were able to go up to New England again -- I absolutely love Vermont! The last time I was in that region of the country was 2 summers ago on Gospel Heralds. The whole tour was very refreshing and spiritually uplifting, in spite of the fact that it was exhausting... It is such an encouragement to sing the same phrases over and over again each night that proclaim the goodness of the Lord toward us. What an amazing God we have! The one down side is that I have been exhausted all week... I'm afraid that I have broken through to the point in the semester where everything is just plummeting to an end. But after this semester... I'm a SENIOR! How crazy is that? I'll be 22 and a Senior in college. *sigh* Life is far too short. Well, that's my life story in a nutshell. Tune in next time :o) | | |
